The Smart Data and Systems Group is a multidisciplinary research group with a broad focus on deep learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), predictive analytics, healthcare technology, agriculture optimization, and intelligent systems. The Smart Data and Systems Group aims to be at the forefront of innovation by combining intelligent data analytics with scalable, optimized systems. We are committed to driving advances that can benefit from healthcare to agriculture, ensuring that our research leads to practical, impactful applications.

Dr. P. Vijaya 

Affiliation: Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, MCBS
Bio: Dr. P. Vijaya received her Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering in 2017. He has been working as a faculty member in the field of computing and technology for 15 years in different countries and universities. She has been in the teaching and research field in Oman since 2004. She held several academic administrative positions such as Head of Academic Support Services, Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department at Waljat College of Applied Sciences, Oman   She has organized International Conferences, Special Session in International Conferences and Symposium. She takes a lead role in the activities organized by the college and got letter of appreciation and awards for her time management and dedication to the assigned task.  Her areas of interests include Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big data Analytics. She is also reviewer of International Journal of  of Signal and Imaging Systems Engineering , PeerJ Computer Science , Network: Computation in Neural Systems, Optimal Control, Applications and Methods, Journal of Information and Knowledge Management, International Journal of Speech Technology.  She is also serving as a Examiner for PhD thesis evaluation of many universities and board member in many of the HEI’s in Oman. Her research works have been published in various top journals and conferences, including IEEE Xplore, Springer, Scopus-indexed journals, and Web of Science.
