Bio:

Head of the Department of General Education, Dr. Aarati holds a Ph.D. and an M. Phil. degree in English Language Teaching from M.S. University of Baroda, India. Both dissertations are psycholinguistic, exploring the cognitive processes of writing compositions in the second language. A total teaching experience spanning more than 35 years, she has taught English at the Doctoral, Masters and the Undergraduate levels.

Bio:

My name is Elhafiz Mohammed Ahmed Elwaly. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Education at the Modern College of Business and Science where I teach communication skills and Social Sciences courses. My previous position was the Head of the English language department in the preparatory year program at Aljouf university in Saudi Arabia.

Bio:

Catherine has been at MCBS since 2012, teaching Academic Writing, Intercultural Communication, and Business Ethics. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Leeds, UK and began her career as an English teacher as a result of spending one year as an assistant teacher in Spain as part of her studies.

After receiving Masters of Letters in Modernities from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2010, Arwa joined MCBS as part of the General Education Department in 2011. She has taught numerous courses ranging from Composition and World Literature to Public Speaking and Topics in Media.

Maryam received her Sociology post-graduate MSc from University of Southampton (England, UK) and her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Temple University (Philadelphia, USA). Bio:

Hazar holds a Master’s degree in Literature and Cross-cultural Poetics and a B.Ed. degree from Bourguiba University in Tunisia.  Both degrees revolve around teaching and learning methods, in addition to exploring contemporary narratology theories, civilization, media studies, translation and stylistics. She has taught Academics, Arts Appreciation, Foundation, Research and Practical English Grammar both in Tunisia and in Oman.

Marcus Richey was born in Wichita, Kansas, USA; studied English and theatre at the University of Kansas. He moved to Sweden and received his MA in English literature from Gothenburg University. For 20 years he taught at various Swedish universities, specializing in literature, cultural studies, and composition writing. He has been in Oman since 2016.

Jennifer Paquibut is a registered nurse with a 15 years’ experience. She began serving in 2001 at Perpetual Succor Hospital – medical surgical ward and emergency room. Eventually she became a clinical instructor for 11 years, which paved way for her teaching profession.
