Biography
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Fida has been involved in teaching, counseling and research related activities since 2004. He earned his Master and MPhil degrees in Economics from reputed universities of Pakistan, International Islamic University and Quaid-i-Azam University, respectively. He earned his PhD in 2013 in International Finance.
Dr. Bashir joined MCBS in January 2013 and currently he is the coordinator of Master in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF), the first and only master’s degree program in Oman. He also holds the additional responsibility of Program Coordinator - B.A in Economics. He has more than 30 publications to his credit and his research papers have been published in reputed impact factor journals.
Teaching / Training Interests
Dr. Bashir taught Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, Oman and AGCC Economy, Islamic Banking, Islamic Economics, Business Statistics, International Economics, Portfolio Management, International Finance, Investments, Corporate Finance, Financial Economics, Statistical Inference, Business Environment, Development Economics and other Economic and Finance courses at graduate and post-graduate levels.
