I am pleased to welcome you all to the Modern College of Business and Science. In line with its Vision and Mission, the Modern College of Business and Science is recognized for its quality education and excellent reputation in Oman and beyond the borders. Having achieved the full Institutions Accreditation status, from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) in 2019, MCBS has indeed proven to be one of the outstanding higher education providers in Oman.

Since its inception, as the first fully privately-owned institution of higher education in the Sultanate in 1996, with the affiliation of University of Missouri St. Louis, USA, MCBS has passionately strived to provide excellent learning opportunities and necessary skills that are needed to excel as we prepare students for their careers, as well as being champions and entrepreneurs in their field if study. MCBS emphasizes academic accomplishment and passion in all the program delivered. Our graduates, some of whom now hold high positions, are among the finest in the country.

In addition to our renowned Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees, MCBS has four outstanding Master’s degrees: an MBA affiliated with Franklin University, USA, and a Master’s in Islamic Banking and Finance affiliated with Management Sciences University, Malaysia and Master in Public Administration quality assured by Jordanian University and Jinan University from Lebanon as well. The MBA program is the first ever American graduate program to be offered in Oman while the Master’s in Islamic Banking and Finance is the first program of its kind in the sultanate. The fourth Master’s degree is in IT, affiliated with the University of Missouri-St. Louis and delivered at MCBS, led by faculty with real world experience. The MPA which is taught in Arabic is again the first of its kind in Oman and has specifically being introduced to raise and improve the governance and administration capabilities of our civil servants.

Our faculty and students come from different countries, a phenomenon that contributes to a dynamic cultural diversity while consciously maintaining the traditions and customs of this country and its people. The College offers opportunities to students to complete their studies locally or to transfer their credits to other countries, including USA, UK, Australia and Malaysia. Students from abroad can also transfer their credits into the MCBS programs and complete their education at the College.
