Participants (students & graduates) were engaged in a playful team-building activity to interact with each other to avoid inhibitions and to participate entirely in the workshop. The session was on how to create a strong CV that would stand out from the crowd, and the critical takeaways addressed were:

  • To write personal information (name, email, address, contact number, LinkedIn account) in the format discussed by the trainer.
  • To write a CV that would be ATS compliant – a tracking system and what should be avoided.
  • Graduate CVs should seamlessly reflect upon his /her achievements that would highlight the speaker’s STAR method (S: situation, T: task, A: action, R: result).

During the workshop, every participant was briefed on the format of creating their personalized CV through a set of guidelines and practical written communication skills demanded by the industry. The participants were tasked with creating their CVs during the workshop by demonstrating different techniques shared during the session, remembering the do’s and don’ts while preparing an ATS-compliant CV for job seekers.
