Within the framework of the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS)’s relentless pursuit to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-life application and in order to provide its students and graduates with practical skills and competencies to successfully join the workforce, the College has conducted its second training cohort for the “Employability Skills for Graduates” as part of the “Tajseer” program in partnership with the Ministry of Labor (MoL).

In November 2022 MCBS signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Labour to implement the “Tajseer Program” which focuses on bridging the gap between the academic experience and the real life expectations of the workplace and provides training on employability skills to MCBS students and graduates.

The training covered topics related to helping students and graduates prepare to achieve their job goals by developing several tools: how to prepare a professional CV, how to optimize their LinkedIn profiles to enable them to grow a professional network that will assist them in their job search; how to prepare for a job interview, as well as how to prepare for the realities of the workplace and how to align themselves with job market expectations.

This cooperation between the College and the Ministry of Labor aims to train various batches of MCBS students and graduates to acquire the necessary skills and competencies and help them find suitable job opportunities by improving their competitive advantage in today’s constantly changing job market.

The training took place over a period of (4) days. Further cohorts will be organized throughout the year and announced accordingly, and it is MCBS’ hope that its graduates will be keen to take advantage of these high-quality training opportunities.
