Dr. P. Vijaya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to joining MCBS, she served as an Assistant Professor at Waljat College of Applied Sciences in Rusayl, Oman, for 15 years. Her research interests encompass Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.

Dr. Vijaya has been recognized for her exemplary leadership and academic contributions, receiving the Best Head of Department, Academics award based on a comprehensive 360-degree evaluation at Waljat College. She has held several significant roles, including Head of Academic Support Services and Head of the Computer Science & Engineering Department.

Her extensive experience includes organizing numerous international conferences, special sessions, symposiums, tech fests, workshops, guest lectures, and summer programs. She is known for her leadership in college activities, earning accolades for her time management and dedication.

Dr. Vijaya’s research has been published predominantly in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals. She also serves as a reviewer for various international journals and conferences and is a guest editor for multiple scholarly journals.

Dr. P. Vijaya has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Modern College of Business and Science, Sultanate of Oman, since January 26, 2020. Prior to this, she served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, from October 2, 2004, to January 25, 2020.

Her earlier academic roles include serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, P.A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, India, from September 2002 to September 2004. Dr. Vijaya began her career as a Lecturer in various institutions, including the Department of Electronics at Dr. T.M.A. Polytechnic, Manipal (July 1998 – August 2002), Government Polytechnic, Mangalore (September 1997 – June 1998), and PNRM Polytechnic, Tiruchirappalli (September 1995 – August 1997) in India.
