PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

  • Prepare the Faculty Performance Evaluation Process every year, which is aimed to appraise and set goals for the active academic year for professional development of the faculty.
  • Hands on knowledge in mathematical software Maple, MATLAB, test generators, SPSS, and other technologies is available online for instructors through different publishers.
  • Using voice-enabled Web conferencing/discussions with the publishers via WebEx for e-learning and developing materials for technology-based learning for math/statistics courses in the computer labs.
  • Developing mathematics/statistics courses through OER has given the opportunity to use the latest technology available online.
  • Co-ordinate presentations and demonstrations as part of the teaching curriculum.
  • Provide semester reports to the head of the department on the progress of the course in the middle and end of each semester.
  • Undertaken initiatives to create and prepare math placement exams online for foundation courses through Moodle e learning system and the New Course Book for the foundation program as per the prerequisites for the credit courses and Ministry of Higher Education requirements.
  • Technologies used are shared internally in the department for the mutual benefit of our faculty and students.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using Moodle as a course management system for effective online learning.
  • Providing mathematics courses for undergraduates/graduates.
  • Proficient in developing course syllabuses and curriculum to expand learning opportunities.
  • Teaching mathematics/statistics courses for undergraduates/graduates and Course Coordinator for Mathematics/Statistics courses. Maintain course files, which include coordination meeting reports, demonstrations as part of the teaching curriculum.
  • Provide individualized instructions to keep all students at the expected skill level.
  • Develop plans and work closely with at-risk students.
  • Getting registered with Pearson Education IRC access code gave the opportunity to learn how to install Test Gen, use test bank files, and create tests for all the courses and create MCBS online mathematics placement exams.
  • Attending demo lectures and presentations for the recruitment of new faculties. • Involved in internal faculty peer evaluation.

STUDENT SERVICE ACTIVITIES

  • Providing recommendations, plans, and strategies to be deployed in academic advising. • Counseling/mentoring/Tutoring/Student Clubs/Organizations/Group Activities for students in different majors.

  • Math Interactive Club initiated. Organize and Conduct Math Club Activities by Volunteering for lectures and workshops. Also coordinating meetings/advertising of the math Club Events. • In charge of the functioning of the ongoing Math Student Tutorial Lab, which is now a part of the Math Club.
