Oman Air Senior Internal Auditor Speaks with Modern College of Business and Science Accounting, Finance and Aviation Management Students

Mr. Urvil Khakhar, the Senior Internal Auditor from Oman Air spoke to Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) students on March 29, 2018 as part of the MCBS Aviation faculty efforts to have aviation industry leaders speak directly to students to discuss real world skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the fast paced and continually changing international world of aviation.

In his 90 minute presentation, Mr. Urvil shared his personal experiences working inside an airline, as well as discussing the basics of the airline auditing processes across different airline departments, and airline cost and revenue models. Students were also provided opportunities to directly ask questions to Mr. Urvil.

As the only program of its kind in Oman and one of the largest undergraduate aviation management programs of any college or university within the GCC Region, MCBS’ Airport Management and Aviation Management programs in Muscat is instrumental in utilizing competency based training methods, combined with both real-world work experience and presentations by industry leaders, to prepare the future airport and aviation leaders both inside and outside of Oman for the challenges of an ever growing civil aviation sector.
