Amel Salman is an Associate Professor of linguistics and translation in the Department of General Education at MCBS. She is currently the Head of Department. Amel holds a doctorate degree in Linguistics in the field of lexicology and lexicography.

Ahmed Al Mata’ani is a senior faculty on study leave (PHD). He was the Head of the General Education Department at the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), and prior to that he was the Head of General Foundation Program at MCBS.

Aarati Mujumdar holds Ph.D. and M. Phil. degrees in English Language Teaching from M.S. University of Baroda, India. Both dissertations are psycholinguistic, exploring the cognitive processes of writing L2 compositions. Her total teaching experience spans 24 years.

Bio:

Teaching is a gratifying and rewarding experience and that is why I have been a teacher for the last 35 years. Having obtained a B.A, B. Ed, M.A and TESOL in English Language and Teaching, I have always been looking for ways to keep young minds challenged and engaged.

Bio:

I have 40 plus years’ experience as a teacher in several countries around the world. I am currently teaching ENGLISH 101 (Academic Writing) and COM 040 (Intercultural Communications) at MCBS. The latter is a new course which seems to have had good acceptance, and I think that part of that is due to my passion for this area of study.

Ms. Akri Saadaoui has been a lecturer at MCBS since 2001. She has a Master degree in Applied Linguistics from Southern Queensland University, Australia. She has been teaching courses like Composition 1 and 2, interpersonal communication and public speaking.

After receiving a Masters degree in Modernities from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2010, I joined MCBS as part of the General Education Department in 2011. I have taught Composition and World Literature.
